New Links page

2/21/09
I have been remiss lately, through this bleak and dark winter, in keeping this site updated. Sure, I've experimented with live blogging from my phone, taking photos and posting them, but no real news or gig updates. So, I'm hoping to correct that as the spring approaches! During a gig today, Kate Blain said "I used to go to your site and look at your news, but then you stopped updating it so I stopped going."

Oh! Ummm... I guess I never thought that anyone actually READ that.

I also started hearing about the great local music being carried by WEXT 97.7 out of Albany, and I can't get the station, but have heard that some of my music has been in regular rotation on the station! Thanks! so I decided to put a link to their site on my links page, where you can listen on the Internet, and find out about a lot of local music.

More local music:
I've updated the links page and I've included GlensFallsRock.com. It's a site I've visited frequently since it was launched, and oh, by the way, Bob Smith does a regional music podcast and you can download it there. It's much in the vein of his GlensFallsRock radio program on 100.3 The Point - and just so happens his latest edition features music from me, as well as other local performers I admire. Check it out!

Another local music radio broadcast happening now is John Kribs' "Community Cafe Music Hour" on HITS 95.9 (Sunday, 8am). Check out my links page to go there. It benefits the Southern Adirondack Musicians fund, and features local music.

New CD is Almost Complete! EP is next up...

I'm excited to have worked with Phil Henry on my new CD Big Sky.
I have to thank a great roster of musicians including:
Phil Henry - vocals, guitars, percussion, keyboards
Kate Blain - vocals
Nick Koopmann - electric bass
Glendon Ingalls - acoustic upright bass
Daryl Jeffords - drums
Dave Shaver - percussion
Dan Graves - piano
Kevin Maul - dobro
Doug Johnson - harmonica
Jeff Kimball - accordion
Tim Wechgelaer - violin, mandolin

When the mastering, cover design and duplication are done, it will be available on CDBaby.com and other online marketplaces. I'm thinking of putting together a little EP of acoustic cuts and I'm thinking of offering it as a thank you for pre-orders. E-mail me what you think about that!

(The links on the left will allow you to review my bio, see a list of the past news and venues, get links to my favorite performers, friends and music sites, listen to clips (and buy CD's), find out where I'm playing, and contact me or sign up for the "Gig List" e-mail I send out periodically. Explore and enjoy - thanks for stopping by!)
